Since 2015 I have been detailed to the New York City Fire Academy, assigned to the Health & Fitness Unit. With my 15 years of service and experience in the New York City Fire Department, 3 of which began with EMS, I have been fortunate enough to have mentored and coached over 1000 probationary fire fighters.

In addition, although no longer coaching in the discipline, I am a committed practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2005. I am currently practicing this passion at Essential Jiu Jitsu
